Notice that I had to put a few exclamation marks on the title as words can’t simply describe how satisfied I am to finally find the florist I’ve been envisioning!!!

Although it is a bit pricier than we had expected it to be, I have total faith that our floral designers will execute what we have asked for seamlessly.   Their impressive portfolio includes event design for ROM,  Cynthia Martyn (my fav wedding planner), Rogers, Bells and other big names…so I am sure my petite wedding will be a breeze for them to do.

Here’s what she came up with for our wedding:

OUCH!

IMG00070-20090602-1551

Some random obnoxious driver rammed his car right into the back of the boat last week. This trigger my thought on what transportation should we use on our wedding day.

Since I will not be considering limo- I will exempt it from this equation.
However, here are more exotic options:

Our floral designer told us that elephants are available for weddings at $5,000/day

Or consider a horse for $1,000/day

Although I’ve listed the rates of animals here, I strongly feel that it threatens animal’s well-being and I strongly discourage anyone from renting them for weddings!

For the most cost effective choice in transportation; consider options at home:

S500 Silver extremely roomy (a.k.a. the boat)

A6 Silverextremely roomy as well, but the doors are wayyy too heavy, strong thigh muscles always help to kick the doors open

ML 350 Obsidian Black Metallic (expected arrival date Sept’09) – Pro: Brand new 2010 model. You can fit 5 pets, 3 luggage’s, four human beings and still have tons of room. Con-It is a SUV.

Mercedes-2009-ML350
Or the Protege 5 that has gone through our abuse through these years..hahaha. Luv it cus you can still find food wrappers from 2007. lol
For all options above- >Cost $0

Or if we ask nice enough, we might be able to ask Eric (the best man) to drive his new fine toy-A4 – hehe

Here it is! Our beautiful banquet hall- I love the white marble, atrium and ambiance of this place! The floor to ceiling windows surrounding the entire hall offers natural lighting and great backdrop for photography.

Since the ceremony area could only accommodate 150 guests (btw, we are expecting 400) it will be tough for our Floral Designers to decorate the place without making it too cluttered in the midst of 150 people.

Raz (my beloved maid of honour) and I went bridesmaid dress shopping today. I’m glad we make progress from last time! Well…at least I know the colour palette has been narrowed down to to green/brown/cream. These are pretty safe colours and its pretty hard to get it wrong.

We took pictures of the pantones and I will have to make my final decision by Thursday, since dresses are being custom made in Hong Kong.

We went shopping for our engagement bouquet today and I was unable to answer questions from the florist.

What is the colour theme at my wedding?”

Once again, I struggle with my indecisiveness on a VERY simple question. I was only able to narrow down to the few choices below:

Light Pink and Grey
Yellow and Grey
Orange and Brown
Orange and Grey

For a softer, whimsical wedding…
Soft Apricot, Pastel Green with a hint of Cream?

For a colourful, green-inspired wedding…
Apple Green, Crisp Orange with a touch of White?
