Engagement Shoot

ZZZZzzz…..Jason and I are both extremely exhausted from our 6hr engagement shoot . We’re not complaining because we appreciate Spencer, Norris, Victor and John’s effort in making us look dammmnn good.  From jumping onto random bridges, walking through fields of tall grass,  to climbing over fences/wood ledges infused with potato bugs-it was tiring but I’m sure it’s gonna turn out great!

The team was awesome to work with- thanks guys!

To all the models out there- You ROCK! I have a new appreciation for your occupation.  Posing in painfully brutal heels,  dealing with makeup meltdown and the need to be constantly creative –  ain’t an easy thing. I’m sticking with my job.

Tanzania

For the ultimate wild adventure, there’s no better place than exploring Tanzania’s Serengeti safari. Cheetahs and exotic species roam beside you by day and unobstructed views of desert and stars by night.

Ngorongoro Crater Lounge

Ngorongoro Crater Lodge is perched on the edge of the world-famous Ngorongoro Crater at the eastern edge of the Serengeti in northern Tanzania. It lies within the Ngorongoro Conservation Area, which covers more than 8 000 square kilometres (3 100 square miles) of pristine African wilderness.

Zanzibar

Zanzibar has one of the world’s most diverse coral reefs.  The island is extremely eco-friendly and perfect destination for  scuba diving and snorkeling.

Fundu Lagoon –This remote and eco-friendly resort is only accessible by boat.  Wooden walkways and sandy path leads to 18 Makuti thatched tented suites- all have a stunning view of Indian Ocean.

Oooo.. and don’t forget the sandy beach that’s nearby and Mount Kilimanjaro is only a few miles aways.

Honeymoon Hotspots

Jason and I agreed that our honeymoon should be an adventurous one. A country that has a strong sense of culture and a long and ancient history. We were able to narrow down to two destinations in Africa, here are the options:

Morocco

A country with stunning architectural and historical masterpiece, mixture of bazzaars and medinas (a.k.a “town” in arabic – containing many narrow and maze-like streets). Morocco amazes us with its rich cultural landscapes and endless palace and museums to explore.

Raid Fes in Fes
Ranked by Forbes magazine as one of Morroco’s sexiest hotels- this hotel is deliciously modern and luxurious. The hotel also offers a rooftop terrace with stunning views of the Medina and the Middle Atlas foothills.

Raid Fes is in the heart of Fez, one of Islam’s holiest cities, where people still live and work as they have done since medieval times.

Raid Ana Yela in Marrakech
With only 5 guest rooms , the Ana Yela is one of the most exclusive and luxurious hotels in the heart of Marrakesh’s historic Medina. the ultra-exclusive Ana Yela is established in a 300 year-old city palace in the heart of Marrakesh’s historic Medina. The hotel itself is a restoration from a 300 ear old city palace. All of the work was done by hand, without the use of electric tools, by more than 100 artisans.

Here it is! Our beautiful banquet hall- I love the white marble, atrium and ambiance of this place! The floor to ceiling windows surrounding the entire hall offers natural lighting and great backdrop for photography.

Since the ceremony area could only accommodate 150 guests (btw, we are expecting 400) it will be tough for our Floral Designers to decorate the place without making it too cluttered in the midst of 150 people.

Colour Basics II

Raz (my beloved maid of honour) and I went bridesmaid dress shopping today. I’m glad we make progress from last time! Well…at least I know the colour palette has been narrowed down to to green/brown/cream. These are pretty safe colours and its pretty hard to get it wrong.

We took pictures of the pantones and I will have to make my final decision by Thursday, since dresses are being custom made in Hong Kong.

Colour Basics

We went shopping for our engagement bouquet today and I was unable to answer questions from the florist.

What is the colour theme at my wedding?”

Once again, I struggle with my indecisiveness on a VERY simple question. I was only able to narrow down to the few choices below:

Light Pink and Grey
Yellow and Grey
Orange and Brown
Orange and Grey

For a softer, whimsical wedding…
Soft Apricot, Pastel Green with a hint of Cream?

For a colourful, green-inspired wedding…
Apple Green, Crisp Orange with a touch of White?
